Organic single variety dark chocolate with native cacao beans grown by small farmers in the Urubamba Valley of Peru.
Info: We found this extremely unique and rare cacao through our friends at Original Beans. Working closely with local small farmers and a central fermentary they have worked hard to preserve this heirloom Chuncho variety. With its complex genetics it has recently been considered to maybe be the Mother of all fine flavour cacao and some of the trees from which it is harvested are up to 200 years old.
Tasting notes: Very complex and deep flavour starting with red berries and fresh plums. Then finishing with more smokey oak notes. A super sweet and smooth chocolate with low bitterness.
Ingredients: Organic cacao beans, organic cane sugar.
